Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theatre was proud to perform at The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary’s annual June Jamboree. The company performed an excerpt of Undecided at the farm on June 14, 2008. The day was filled with good animal fun which raises money to save and protect rescued and abused farm
animals.

SLDT Donates 2008 Concert Tickets to Two Important Fundraisers:*

SLDT donates two sets of dance concert tickets to Ballet Hispanico’s,* Cinco De Mayo* event and the Multiple Musicians Against Multiple Myeloma (MMAMM) event. These two wonderful organizations are very close and dear to members of the SLDT family, and we are honored to support them!

A Great Success!!! SLDT Fall 2008 Season… *The Party *

Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theatre kicked off their Fall 2008 Season with a fabulous fundraiser hosted by Leslie Van Stelten’s SEXYB*TCH *party at * TenEleven Bar in the LES, NYC. The event featured the music of DJ Dario Speedwagon and DJ Carl,* with a live performance by the SLDT dancers and, was sponsored by *POM *Vodka. Raffle items included: original art pieces by both Leslie Van Stelten and Steven Levan, free hair cut at *Tease salon, gourmet wines donated by Barmarche and a bar tab for the evening from TenEleven. Good times and lots of dancin’. It was a evening to remember!!!

*The Concert *

From October 17-19, 2008 Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theatre proudly presented our Fall Concert, at Merce Cunningham Studio in NYC. The company debuted the world premiere of Render, featuring costumes designed by Brent Barkhaus and lighting by Principal Lighting Designer, Jennifer Rathbone, along with Hooked (2006) and White (2005). Thank you to all who attended and volunteered. You made this season a great success!

Salvatore LaRussa Dance Company, Inc. is excited to bring the Queens, NYC community Salvatore LaRussa Dance Theatre – The Academy, a professional dance academy at 66-85 73rd Place, Middle Village, NY 11379. SLDT- The Academy will offer affordable dance classes for dancers of all ages and abilities. All classes will be taught by company members and professionals from the NYC dance community. The school will also offer Creative Movement classes for young children, Yoga for all ages, and more…
