Research: computer program for choeographers

by our readers

My name is Jennifer Pierce.
I am a Master’s student at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Global Information and Telecommunication Studies in Tokyo, Japan.
Prior to moving to Japan, I studied art history, dance, and photography in the United States.

I am in the beginning stages of preparing for my Master’s thesis which will focus on intermedia dance, specifically interdisciplinary choreography. It is my tentative goal to collaborate with computer scientists in my school to create a computer program designed for choreographers.

In order to better understand the needs and processes of choreographers I have prepared a questionnaire. My questions are very general although my curiosity is great so any creative feedback would be very much appreciated!
