So what now? …some suggestions…

Assessing our capacity for stopping

Turning away from outside forces and influences to conduct a stock-taking: what resources do we have to hand, can we call on? This includes everything right down to our physical ability to endure hardship and privation, it’s useful to remember what a body can take, and how much our bodies have taken before.

How can we cut our losses… there is a danger of being taken down farther and farther with a collapsing system…

Discovering a capacity for stillness

A creative kind of stock-taking involves settling into a deeper mode of listening and sensing. What resources are there both within and outside of us … subtler, gentler energies … They might come in the form of emmissaries, dreams, strange thoughts, intutitions…
There exist forms for gathering and containing and working with this strange information eg social dreaming matrix

So there is a stopping, a stilling, a gathering in of our selves
A sensing and presencing inside what constitutes our subjective world
